Week 23 Streaming Guide

If you’re still playing, congratulations and well done. It takes a lot of skill and effort to get to this point (not to mention more than a little luck). Let’s go win some rings.

This is the busiest week of the year. Only six teams play three games this week. The rest of the league plays four. You’re likely going to have some days where your schedule is full so it’s very important to plan your week around these days. Players who play on Tuesday and Thursday, or Thursday and Saturday, are extremely valuable this week. Streaming options who play on Wednesday, Friday, or Sunday, three exceptionally busy days, lose some value in Week 23.

There’s no team that has a clearly superior schedule in the Championship Round. It’s important to consider the ease of a matchup, but that should only be used as a tiebreaker. Maximizing your games played is what this week is all about. There are a few teams with what I would consider a poor schedule. The Bulls don’t play until Thursday and only have three games this week. Everyone not named Jimmy Butler should hit the wire early in the week. That includes the red hot Nikola Mirotic. You will want to target Bulls late in the week as they do have three games over the last four days of the week.

The Nuggets also have a problematic schedule. They only play three games this week and two of those games come on the two busiest nights of the week, Friday and Sunday. The Wolves and Blazers also have three games, but fortunately, they play on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. If you picked up Jamal Crawford or Austin Rivers, you’ll want to drop them early in the week. The Clippers don’t play until Wednesday and also only see the court three times in Week 23.

There is one major scheduling quirk this week that you’ll need to build your strategy around. Sunday is an unusually busy day. We’re talking “last night of the season” busy. 24 of the league’s 30 teams suit up on Sunday so you’re likely going to be overloaded on Sunday. That means you have to use your moves earlier in the week than usual. Don’t be passive and save your moves until the categories that will decide the matchup are perfectly clear. Do your research up front, figure out which categories are likely the most important, and be aggressive with your moves early in the week.

Good luck!

Wednesday

  • With 20 of 30 teams playing on Wednesday, you’ll likely be trying to work around this day. If you do pick up a player who plays on Wednesday, try to make sure that they also play on Tuesday or Thursday.

Best streaming options who play on both Wednesday and Thursday:

Marreese Speights (3PM), Jamal Crawford (FT%, PTS, 3PM, FT%), Austin Rivers (PTS, 3PM)

Friday

  • Only eight teams have the night off on Friday. The Kings play on both Friday and Saturday, but you need to be careful when targeting their players. The Kings have revved up the tank. And the below players are the only options that I would consider this week. Even Temple is a somewhat risky option.

Best streaming options who play on both Friday and Saturday:

Terrence Ross (PTS, 3PM, STL), Bismack Biyombo (REB, BLK), Garrett Temple (3PM, STL), Willie Cauley-Stein (FG%, PTS, REB, BLK), Skal Labissiere (REB), Georgios Papagiannis (REB, BLK)
